GALITT introduces its new testing offer for contactless payments by cards and mobiles

Pilots and projects implementing NFC-based contactless payments are steadily growing in number. New players are making their entrance, new technologies are implemented into brand-new devices, and standards are still evolving.

Based on its KaNest®-ICC simulator, recognized and used worldwide to test and evaluate the functional conformance of cards and devices, GALITT is offering testing solutions for NFC contactless devices – cards, mobiles, acceptance devices. Thus, the payment application embedded into the phone, the card or the terminal can be validated using the simulator. KaNest®-ICC can also be used in spy mode to analyze the flow between the mobile (or the card) and the acceptance device. This non-intrusive way of monitoring contactless flow has been recognized as dramatically efficient during pilot phases.

The Groupe Crédit Mutuel - CIC, a major French bank whose dynamism and role in new payment technologies is widely recognized, has selected the KaNest®-ICC solution for its initial tests, and specifically for the new pilot of mobile-based contactless payments launched in partnership with Telcos and major French banks.

Diane WALCH, Marketing and Business Development Director at GALITT, said: “GALITT continuously
anticipates the needs of its most innovative customers to enhance its test tools. Thus GALITT may timely provide updated and high-quality test solutions matching the arising requirements of customers’ state-of-theart projects.
